Tips for Finding Diamond Pickaxe
- Strip mine at Y -59 for the highest diamond concentration
- Diamonds never generate exposed to air, so branch mining is more effective than caving
- Use Fortune III enchantment on an iron or diamond pickaxe to multiply diamond drops (average 2.2 per ore)
- Check around lava lakes at Y -54 to -59, as diamonds generate near lava pools
- Caves that intersect Y -59 can reveal diamond ore on cave walls
