About these Minecraft location guides
Every guide here answers one question: where does this item actually come from. 100 items have one, and between them they name 91 different biomes and structures, from the 60 that turn up across the whole Overworld to the 10 that only exist past an End portal.
A guide is not a single sentence: the 100 pages list 199 ways of getting something, 2 per item on average, plus 391 written tips. 29 of them name the height to dig at, because for ore that number decides everything.
25 items send you to the Nether and 10 to the End; the rest stay in the Overworld. Where an item can also be crafted, the guide says so and links the recipe, so you can choose the cheaper route. Checked against Java Edition on 2026-08-22.

Questions about finding items
How do you find items in Minecraft?
It depends on the item, which is why there are 100 separate guides rather than one. Between them they cover 91 biomes and structures and 199 distinct methods: mining at a stated height, looting a structure, trading, fishing, farming or killing the mob that carries it.
Which Minecraft ores need a specific Y level?
29 of the 100 guides name a height to dig at. Depth changes how common an ore is rather than whether it exists, so the number in a guide is where the odds peak, not a hard floor.
What can you only get in the Nether or the End?
25 of these items ask for the Nether and 10 for the End. Those guides say which structure to head for, since a Bastion, a Fortress and an End City each carry a different list.
Is it faster to craft an item than to find it?
Often, and the guide says which. Of the 100 items with a find guide, most also have a recipe on their own page, and the guide links it so you can weigh a trip against a crafting grid.
