How do you get Scaffolding in Minecraft?

Scaffolding is crafted from Bamboo and String at a Crafting Table, and each craft returns 6.

Where do you find Scaffolding in chests?

Scaffolding is chest loot in one place and one only: trial chamber corridor chests (about 20%, 2 to 10 at a time). No other generated chest lists it, so that single structure is the whole search, and every other chest in the game will disappoint you.

Can Scaffolding be used as fuel?

Scaffolding is a small fuel: 2.5 seconds apiece, against the 10 seconds a furnace spends on one item, so 4 of them cover a single smelt. Nothing on Scaffolding is wasted: the furnace keeps what is left of a Scaffolding and spends it on the next item.

How many Scaffolding can you stack?

64 Scaffolding fills a slot, and that slot costs 66 Bamboo and 11 String, since each one returns 6, which is 11 crafts at the crafting table.

Scaffolding at a glance

Crafting gives you Scaffolding, a block filed under Utility Blocks. Carrying Scaffolding is cheap: 64 to a slot, 576 across the hotbar, 1728 in a chest. A furnace accepts Scaffolding, though 4 go into one smelt, 16 items to a stack.

Scaffolding breaks the instant you touch it. Generated chests only ever hold Scaffolding in one place: trial chamber corridor chests (about 20%, 2 to 10 at a time). It sits between Sandstone Stairs and Sculk Catalyst in Utility Blocks, number 277 of 340 there.

Building with it

Six bamboo and one string give six scaffolding, and it is the builder's block: it stacks upward by holding right click, it can extend sideways up to six blocks, and breaking the bottom one drops the whole column. Falling through it is safe, so it beats dirt towers on every count.
